Mix Prep Guidelines

• Should be formatted as WAV files only. I will not be able to use any kind of project/session files (.ptx, .logicx, etc.)

• Ensure that all audio files begin at the same time.

• Clearly and specifically label and number each audio file (LeadVocal.wav, FloorTom.wav, AcousticGuitar.wav, etc.)

• Please be sure to include markers indicating song structure, as well as a MIDI tempo map file if it was recorded to a click.

• In a separate folder, please include rough mixdowns of each song so that I can get an idea of the track’s intended balance.

• Include a few songs that you’d like me to reference during my mixing. Be specific about what you’d like me to reference. For example “We like the overall balance of X song, we think the vocal effects of Y song would be a good fit, etc.”
